Standard Auto Spring Works
Bushings, Shackles and Hangers
A good spring pack still depends on sound bushings, shackles and hangers. Worn mounting parts can create noise, movement, poor ride height and damage around the spring eyes.

Representative spring work
What you may notice
Signs worth having checked.
- Clunking or movement from a spring mounting point
- Cracked, missing or pushed out bushings
- A shackle sits at an unusual angle
- Visible wear around spring eyes or hanger bolts
- The axle or spring pack appears to shift under load
What we look at
The inspection goes beyond one part.
- Front and rear spring eyes
- Bushings, pins, bolts and sleeves
- Shackles and shackle plates
- Frame mounted hangers and surrounding metal
- Clearance and movement through the spring travel
Good to know
The surrounding spring and frame condition matters. We inspect the assembly before replacing only the most obvious worn part.
