Operator
This website is operated by Standard Auto Spring Works (1990) Ltd., operating as Standard Auto Spring Works, from 313 Princess Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3B 1M5.
Website information
The website provides general information about spring, suspension, parts and related services. It does not replace a physical inspection, professional diagnosis or repair recommendation for a specific vehicle. Content may be updated as services, parts and operating processes change.
Vehicle identification and recall information
The optional VIN tool sends the VIN transiently to the United States National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's vPIC identification service and returns vehicle details for you to review. A decoded result is a candidate, not confirmation of an exact build, equipment, parts fitment, ownership or vehicle history. Check the suggested year, make and model before using them in a request, and enter the details manually if they are incomplete or incorrect.
The Canadian recall indicator is a courtesy comparison based on the confirmed year, make and model. Transport Canada recall records commonly cover groups of vehicles, and a possible match does not mean that a particular VIN is affected or that a repair remains outstanding. A result is not a safety clearance. Check the official Transport Canada recall database and confirm VIN-specific status with the manufacturer or an authorized dealer.
Quotes and appointment requests
Sending a form does not create a confirmed appointment, final quote or contract. A person reviews the vehicle, concern, parts requirements, preferred time and shop schedule before confirming the next step. Do not leave a vehicle until the shop has confirmed the arrangement.
Estimates and authorization
An initial estimate may rely on the information and photos supplied. Final scope and pricing can change after physical inspection, disassembly, fitment confirmation or discovery of corrosion, previous repairs or hidden damage. We will seek authorization before adding work outside the approved scope, subject to any separate repair authorization you sign.
Manitoba consumer protections apply to covered consumer motor vehicle work. For repairs over $100, a written estimate must generally be offered unless the consumer declines it and authorizes a maximum amount. Covered charges cannot exceed the estimate by more than 10%, up to a maximum overage of $100, unless additional work is authorized. Repair authorization is recorded, and the written invoice identifies parts, labour, applicable warranty information and consumer rights. The provincial motor vehicle repair rules do not apply to business-to-business work or MPI claims. See the Manitoba Consumer Protection Office summary.
Parts requests and fitment
Part availability, fitment, included hardware, lead time and price must be confirmed for the application. Photographs, measurements, part numbers and vehicle information help but may not be enough on their own. Any return, warranty or custom item conditions are provided with the accepted order or invoice.
eMESURE measurement technology
eMESURE owns and provides the digital measurement technology used by the integrated U-Bolt Measurement tool. Standard Auto Spring Works helps customers apply the tool to practical spring shop requests. Standard does not own or claim to have built the eMESURE platform. A digital measurement record does not confirm material specification, application, fitment, price, availability, torque, load capacity or safe installation. Sending a record is not an order, quote, fitment confirmation or authorization to manufacture. A shop representative must confirm the part and any order by phone before preparation begins.
Vehicle safety
If a spring is visibly broken, the vehicle is leaning, a component has shifted or metal is close to a tire, stop and call the shop before driving it further. The website is not an emergency, towing or roadside service.
Add-a-leaf and load support
Adding a leaf or installing a heavier spring pack does not increase the vehicle's manufacturer-assigned Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), Gross Axle Weight Ratings (GAWRs) or other legal operating limits. The vehicle must remain within every published and legal limit.
Other Standard Auto Works divisions
The MPI Claims & Inspections pages describe the claim-related mechanical repair, suitable light vehicle alignment and Manitoba Light Vehicle Inspection work that Standard Auto Spring Works accepts under the stated agreements and program boundaries. Broader alignment, generic repair, general fleet and HiRail information may be included only to help visitors reach the appropriate Standard Auto Works division. The team that accepts the request confirms the applicable service relationship and terms.
